ChiloMall ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the ChiloMall mobile application and related services.

A. Account and Identity Information:

  • Email Registration: If you choose to create an account via email, we collect and securely store your email address as your primary account identifier.
  • Third-Party Login (e.g., TikTok): If you choose the convenience of logging in via a third-party service, we receive and store a unique encrypted identifier provided by that service to associate your account. We do not receive your password or other personal profile data (like friend lists) from the third-party platform through this method.
  • This information is essential for creating, securing, and managing your account and is associated with your identity within the app.

B. Contact Information: If you choose to use features that require it, such as applying for product samples that require shipping, we may collect your name, phone number, and physical address. This information is strictly used for the intended app functionality (e.g., sample delivery) and is associated with your user identity.

C. User Content: Information you submit through the app, such as tasks, product details, sample applications, and related content.

D. Profile Image: For profile customization, the app may request access to your device's camera and photo library when you choose to upload or change your profile picture. If you grant permission, we will collect only the specific photo(s) you select for your profile image. This image data is used solely for displaying your profile picture within the app and is associated with your user account.

E. Push Notification Data: To deliver timely and relevant notifications, we collect: - Device Tokens: Unique identifiers provided by Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) or Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver notifications to your specific device - Notification Preferences: Your choices about which types of notifications you wish to receive - Notification Interaction Data: Basic information about whether you open notifications, used solely to improve notification relevance

F. Diagnostic Information: To ensure app stability and performance, we may automatically collect crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic information. This data is used solely for app functionality improvements and is not tied to your personal identity.

G. Device Information: Basic technical information such as device type, operating system version, and app version.

Important: We do not collect sensitive personal data (like precise location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or payment card details) unless you explicitly provide it for a specific, user-driven feature, and its use is confined to that purpose.

Note about Push Notification Tokens: Push notification tokens are anonymous device identifiers that cannot be used to personally identify you. We do not link these tokens to other personal information unless you explicitly provide such linkage through app functionality.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information solely to:

  • Provide and maintain core app functionality
  • Manage creator, seller, and agency workflows
  • Process sample requests and deliveries when users apply for product samples
  • Display your profile picture for account personalization
  • Deliver essential notifications about:
    • Task assignments and updates
    • Order status changes
    • Important platform announcements
    • New opportunities relevant to your role
  • Improve user experience and app performance
  • Communicate important service-related updates

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

3. App Tracking and Advertising

ChiloMall does not track users across other companies' apps or websites.

We do not use personal data for cross-app tracking, targeted advertising, or data broker sharing. This includes the explicit promise that we will not use your chosen login method (email or third-party) for cross-app tracking or advertising profiling.

Push Notifications vs. Tracking: Our use of push notifications is strictly limited to: - Transactional Notifications: Essential updates about your tasks, orders, and account - Service Announcements: Important information about platform changes or maintenance - Opportunity Alerts: Notifications about new tasks or earning opportunities you may qualify for

We do not use push notifications for: - Third-party advertising or promotions - Cross-app tracking or user profiling - Sharing notification data with data brokers or advertisers

The app's core functionality does not require any tracking authorization.

We do not use the App Tracking Transparency framework as we do not engage in tracking as defined by Apple.

You have complete control over notifications and can adjust preferences in your device settings or within the app.

4. Data Sharing

We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • When required by law or legal process
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and platform
  • With trusted service providers who assist in operating the app, under strict confidentiality agreements
  • With logistics partners for the sole purpose of delivering requested samples, when users apply for product samples
  • With notification service providers (Apple APNs, Google FCM) solely for the technical delivery of notifications

Important: These providers process data under strict confidentiality agreements and only for the purpose of delivering notifications or providing the contracted service.

We do not share user data with third parties for tracking or advertising purposes. We do not share your email address (collected via email registration) with any third-party login provider.

5. Your Choices and Control

You have control over your information:

  • Login Method: You have the free choice to use either Email Registration or Third-Party Login (e.g., TikTok) to access our services. Email registration is our primary, privacy-first method that provides equivalent access to all core features.
  • Profile Picture: You can choose whether to upload a profile picture. You can remove or change it at any time in your account settings.
  • Push Notifications: You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through:
    • Your device's notification settings
    • The app's notification preferences (if available)
  • Camera/Photo Access: You can grant or revoke camera and photo library access through your device settings at any time.
  • Account Deletion: You can request account deletion by contacting us, which will remove your personal information from our systems.

6. Login Methods & Your Privacy Choices

To protect your privacy and provide flexible login choices, our application offers the following primary methods for account creation and login:

Email Registration & Login

This is the primary login option we provide, designed to meet strict privacy standards. This method:

  • Minimizes Data Collection: We only collect your email address and your chosen password. We do not collect your name or other personal details through this method.
  • Protects Your Email: Your email address is stored securely, used only for account verification and service communication, and is not shared with any third parties (including other login service providers).
  • No Tracking for Advertising: We do not collect data based on your email login activity for personalized advertising tracking without your explicit consent.

You can always use only email login to access all core features of our application.

Third-Party Login (e.g., TikTok)

As a convenient, optional service, we offer a quick login feature via TikTok for content creators and other users.

  • When you choose this method, TikTok shares a unique user identifier with us to create or link your account. The privacy practices of this process are governed by TikTok's own privacy policy.
  • Please note that you can always choose to use Email Registration & Login above as a full alternative. This email-based method provides you with equivalent, if not greater, control over data minimization and privacy protection compared to using a third-party login.

Our Commitment: Regardless of the login method you choose, our standards for protecting your personal data remain consistent. We do not engage in unnecessary additional data collection or usage based on your choice of login method.
